Fabric8 gallery is pleased to present Wayward Wanderings, a solo show featuring new paintings by artist David Garvey.
In his first-ever solo show, former medical illustrator Garvey uses his highly-detailed technique to bring his paintings to life. His exhibition depicts scenes of a wayward reality, from whimsical creatures and scenarios to dreamscapes and poignant visual metaphors.
David Garvey was born in New York City in 1970 and attended Pratt Institute, from where he graduated with a BFA in 1994. He has had an eclectic career in the arts, having done illustration work for websites, publications, pharmaceutical giants, and entertainment conglomerates. His paintings and drawings are on display in restaurants, hotels, and casinos throughout the country. He currently lives and works in San Francisco.
Wayward Wanderings will be on exhibit from April 6 through May 7, 2012 at fabric8, 3318 22nd Street, San Francisco, and open 7 days a week. The opening reception will be held on Friday, April 6, from 6pm-9pm.
